Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Real Estate and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 5.68% or 5.66 points to trade at 105.30 at the close. Jet Contractors (CS:JET) added 5.23% or 8.90 points to end at 178.90 and Involys (CS:INV) was up 4.93% or 5.80 points to 123.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which lost 7.78% or 2.87 points to trade at 34.00 in late trade. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) declined 5.43% or 3.17 points to end at 55.13 and S2M (CS:S2M) shed 5.39% or 12.80 points to 224.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.05 to $38.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.12 to hit $40.17 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1234.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 10.9520, while USD/MAD fell 0.40% to 9.6223.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.56.
