Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as in the sectors propelled shares .

The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 2.16% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.316 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.59% or 0.2800 points to end at 17.9400 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 1.39% or 0.0560 points to 4.0760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which lost 1.95% or 0.190 points to trade at 9.560 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.71% or 0.0145 points to end at 0.8335 and Recordati (MI:RECI) shed 1.58% or 0.56 points to 34.92.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 119 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.59% or 1.22 to $48.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.84% or 1.45 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.36 to trade at $1292.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1750, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.9138.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 93.43.
