Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Banking and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.57% or 2.50 points to trade at 57.15 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.61% or 0.45 points to end at 17.69 and Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) was up 2.34% or 1.70 points to 74.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 2.94% or 1.55 points to trade at 51.10 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.93% or 5.3 points to end at 175.7 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 2.13% or 3.5 points to 160.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 75 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.00% or 1.39 to $47.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.84% or 1.38 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.79 to trade at $1251.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.25% to 9.2993, while USD/NOK fell 0.35% to 7.9790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.82.
