Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 8.42% or 2.91 points to trade at 37.49 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 5.94% or 3.2 points to end at 58.0 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 3.09% or 1.70 points to 56.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 13.31% or 6.6 points to trade at 43.0 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 7.98% or 27.8 points to end at 318.7 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 4.34% or 5.0 points to 110.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 69 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.40% or 0.18 to $45.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1167.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.75% to 9.2217, while USD/NOK rose 1.08% to 8.2811.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.26% at 96.27.
