Investing.com - The number of people applying for first-time jobless benefits in the U.S. rose more-than-expected last week, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Department of Labor said that U.S. initial jobless claims rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 311K, from 290K in the prior week whose figure was revised up from 289K.
Analysts had expected U.S. initial jobless claims to rise to 295K last week.
