Investing.com - The number of people applying for first-time jobless benefits in the U.S. fell unexpectedly last week, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Department of Labor said that U.S. initial jobless claims fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 302K, from 305K in the prior week whose figure was revised up from 304K.
Analysts had expected U.S. initial jobless claims to rise to 310K last week.
