Investing.com - The number of people applying for first-time jobless benefits in the U.S. fell less-than-expected last week, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Department of Labor said that U.S. initial jobless claims fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 291K, from 293K in the prior week whose figure was revised up from 290K.
Analysts had expected U.S. initial jobless claims to fall to 286K last week.
