Investing.com - The number of people applying for first-time jobless benefits in the U.S. rose more-than-expected last week, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Department of Labor said that U.S. initial jobless claims rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 283K, from 266K in the prior week whose figure was revised up from 264K.
Analysts had expected U.S. initial jobless claims to rise to 282K last week.
