Investing.com - The U.K. Department of Communities and Local Government house price index fell unexpectedly last month, industry data showed on Tuesday.

In a report, Communities and Local Government said that U.K. DCLG HPI fell to 9.8%, from 9.9% in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 10.0%.

Analysts had expected U.K. DCLG HPI to rise to 10.3% last month.
