Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Auto & components and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 7.79% or 0.66 points to trade at 9.10 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 6.59% or 1.32 points to end at 21.35 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 5.62% or 0.11 points to 2.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 14.73% or 6.86 points to trade at 39.70 in late trade. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 0.58% or 0.35 points to end at 60.20 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.29% or 1.0 points to 348.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 128 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.25% or 0.12 to $48.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $48.74 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.33% or 4.15 to trade at $1250.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.38% to 9.3352, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 8.3280.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.42.
