Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 6.43% or 450.0 points to trade at 7450.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.91% or 15.0 points to end at 1655.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 0.99% or 220.0 points to 22500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 3.18% or 115.0 points to trade at 3505.0 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) declined 1.62% or 45.0 points to end at 2740.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 1.21% or 20.0 points to 1635.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.42% or 1.88 to $129.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.21% or 7.00 to hit $3355.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.90 to trade at $1148.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.15% to 2715.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.25% to 865.28.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.29.
