Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Public Services, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.93% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which rose 11.38% or 350.0 points to trade at 3425.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 6.06% or 160.0 points to end at 2800.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 3.33% or 1900.0 points to 59000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 0.43% or 160.0 points to trade at 37280.0 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 0.30% or 5.0 points to end at 1685.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 0.14% or 10.0 points to 7090.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 7 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.24% or 1.48 to $120.55 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.98% or 63.00 to hit $3240.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.50% or 5.40 to trade at $1068.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.98% to 3242.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.76% to 822.68.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.41.
