Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Healthcare and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which rose 6.67% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.144 at the close. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) added 5.52% or 0.08 points to end at 1.53 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was up 4.39% or 0.03 points to 0.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which lost 16.00% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.021 in late trade. Titan Cement (AT:TTNr) declined 4.65% or 0.990 points to end at 20.310 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) shed 4.63% or 0.39 points to 8.04.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 28 and 6 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.46% or 5.50 to $1182.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.17 to trade at $49.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1368, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.7361.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 94.64.
