Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 3.28% or 24.0 points to trade at 755.0 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) added 1.44% or 230 points to end at 16180 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 0.87% or 140 points to 16320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.47% or 232 points to trade at 4953 in late trade. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) declined 2.23% or 710 points to end at 31110 and Nice (TA:NICE) shed 2.19% or 560 points to 24990.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 187 to 137 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.32% or 0.14 to $43.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.23 to hit $49.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.44% or 15.90 to trade at $1123.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.8090, while EUR/ILS rose 1.23% to 4.2639.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.18% at 96.08.
