Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 0.64% or 1.2 points to trade at 188.5 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) fell 0.42% or 1.0 points to end at 237.4 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was down 0.42% or 0.6 points to 142.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.94% or 1.40 points to trade at 34.16 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 3.07% or 4.30 points to end at 135.60 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 2.97% or 7.1 points to 232.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 385 to 60 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 7.80% or 3.84 to $45.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 8.65% or 4.68 to hit $49.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.64% or 7.30 to trade at $1139.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.36% to 9.5311, while USD/SEK fell 0.38% to 8.4391.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.52% at 95.46.
