Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Multi Investment, Petrochemicals and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were SABB Takaful (SE:8080), which rose 9.64% or 2.15 points to trade at 24.45 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) added 9.52% or 0.60 points to end at 6.90 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370) was up 9.45% or 0.60 points to 6.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eastern Province Cement Co. (SE:3080), which lost 1.75% or 0.60 points to trade at 33.70 in late trade. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) declined 1.16% or 0.05 points to end at 4.25 and Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230) shed 1.14% or 0.50 points to 43.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 150 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 5.67% or 1.80 to $33.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 5.21% or 1.72 to hit $34.73 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.65% or 20.30 to trade at $1210.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.99% to 4.1331, while USD/SAR rose 0.04% to 3.7517.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.85% at 97.44.
