Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 5.25% or 320.0 points to trade at 6420.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 4.96% or 170.0 points to end at 3600.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 2.07% or 110.0 points to 5430.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which lost 0.84% or 220.0 points to trade at 26080.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 0.65% or 180.0 points to end at 27520.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 0.45% or 120.0 points to 26380.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.50% or 1.90 to $128.47 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $3302.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1156.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.86% to 2697.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.82% to 861.14.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.04% at 96.96.
