Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.96% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.6270 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.32% or 0.0620 points to end at 2.7400 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 2.29% or 0.0260 points to 1.1620 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 5.28% or 0.0880 points to trade at 1.5800 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.94% or 0.3230 points to end at 7.8760 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 2.03% or 0.0590 points to 2.8430.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 20 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.52% or 0.74 to $47.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.36% or 0.66 to hit $47.75 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.45 to trade at $1248.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1207, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.7742.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.33.
