Investing.com - The rate of unemployment in Canada rose less-than-expected last month, official data showed on Friday.

In a report, Statistics Canada said that Canadian unemployment rate rose to a seasonally adjusted 6.6%, from 0.1% in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 6.6%.

Analysts had expected Canadian unemployment rate to rise to 6.7% last month.
