In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 198.3K, from 196.7K in the prior month whose figure was revised up from 194.8K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to fall to 185.0K last month.
