In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 187.3K, from 179.6K in the prior month whose figure was revised down from 180.6K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to fall to 178.0K last month.
