Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 3.15% or 168 points to trade at 5494 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 1.12% or 170 points to end at 15310 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 0.96% or 45 points to 4730 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which lost 2.37% or 31 points to trade at 1276 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 2.28% or 5.7 points to end at 244.5 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) shed 1.65% or 1.2 points to 71.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 176 to 136 and 137 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.91% or 0.88 to $45.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.17% or 1.07 to hit $48.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.20 to trade at $1118.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.9311, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.3877.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 96.20.
