Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.46% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.52% or 86 points to trade at 3496 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 1.40% or 3.1 points to end at 224.1 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 1.39% or 810 points to 58980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nice (TA:NICE), which lost 1.75% or 390 points to trade at 21840 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 1.64% or 920 points to end at 55270 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) shed 1.06% or 0.7 points to 65.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 168 to 160 and 126 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.16% or 0.39 to $32.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $33.55 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.35% or 3.90 to trade at $1103.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.9257, while EUR/ILS rose 0.03% to 4.2892.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 98.45.
