Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 2.19% or 1.7 points to trade at 79.2 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.87% or 280 points to end at 15260 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 1.62% or 100 points to 6290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Poalim (TA:POLI), which lost 2.82% or 61 points to trade at 2099 in late trade. Discount (TA:DSCT) declined 2.69% or 20.5 points to end at 742.2 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) shed 2.64% or 44 points to 1624.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 218 to 114 and 115 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.98% or 0.50 to $50.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.30 to hit $56.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.01% or 11.20 to trade at $1092.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.66% to 3.8203, while EUR/ILS rose 0.21% to 4.1604.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 97.77.
