Investing.com - Australian private new capital expenditure rose unexpectedly in the last quarter, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Australian Bureau of Statistics said that Australian private new capital expenditure rose to a seasonally adjusted 0.2%, from 1.6% in the prior quarter whose figure was revised up from 1.1%.
Analysts had expected Australian private new capital expenditure to fall -1.7% in the last quarter.
