Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which rose 3.89% or 5.0 points to trade at 133.4 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 3.85% or 16.70 points to end at 451.00 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.63% or 3.5 points to 556.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which lost 11.17% or 16.6 points to trade at 132.0 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 5.90% or 1.18 points to end at 18.81 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) shed 3.19% or 5.4 points to 164.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 413 to 152 and 13 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 4.32% or 1.36 to $30.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.55% or 1.22 to hit $33.02 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.26% or 2.90 to trade at $1125.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.76% to 9.3560, while USD/SEK rose 0.52% to 8.5736.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 98.93.
