Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Oulmes (CS:OULM), which rose 5.99% or 52 points to trade at 923 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) added 5.58% or 48 points to end at 908 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was up 5.30% or 60 points to 1190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL), which lost 5.95% or 106 points to trade at 1780 in late trade. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 5.50% or 5.85 points to end at 100.40 and CTM (CS:CTM) shed 3.11% or 13.00 points to 418.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.21% or 0.52 to $42.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.53% or 0.70 to hit $45.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1070.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 10.6700, while USD/MAD rose 0.23% to 10.0598.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 99.90.
