Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which rose 7.45% or 0.062 points to trade at 0.894 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 4.35% or 0.001 points to end at 0.024 and Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) was up 3.74% or 0.004 points to 0.111 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dromeas (AT:DROr), which lost 25.16% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.116 in late trade. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 4.96% or 0.06 points to end at 1.15 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) shed 4.06% or 0.99 points to 24.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 47 to 44 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 1.11% or 12.70 to $1157.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.93% or 0.46 to hit $49.89 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $52.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.88% to 1.1377, while EUR/GBP rose 1.08% to 0.7426.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.59% at 94.83.
