Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 2.55% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 0.44% or 0.35 points to trade at 78.40 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) fell 1.13% or 1.20 points to end at 105.10 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was down 1.27% or 2.4 points to 186.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 5.31% or 7.20 points to trade at 128.30 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 4.76% or 27.0 points to end at 540.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 4.71% or 1.44 points to 29.13.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 360 to 80 and 9 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.24% or 1.52 to $45.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.85% or 0.91 to hit $48.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.71% or 8.00 to trade at $1124.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.3480, while USD/SEK rose 0.43% to 8.4040.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 96.48.
