Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Services and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 3.51% or 2.550 points to trade at 75.300 at the close. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) added 2.11% or 0.300 points to end at 14.500 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 1.78% or 0.280 points to 16.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which lost 3.06% or 0.60 points to trade at 19.00 in late trade. Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) declined 1.37% or 0.140 points to end at 10.100 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) shed 0.99% or 12.00 points to 1198.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 84 and 54 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.19% or 2.43 to $1277.07 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $45.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $47.84 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.06% to 7.2822, while USD/PHP rose 0.03% to 49.516.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 97.42.
