Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.18% or 4.60 points to trade at 149.20 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) added 1.91% or 3.8 points to end at 203.2 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.01% or 4.9 points to 492.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 9.55% or 10.40 points to trade at 98.50 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.81% or 1.2 points to end at 146.2 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.81% or 1.4 points to 170.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 304 to 255 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.33% or 0.16 to $49.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.56% or 0.28 to hit $50.00 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1213.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 9.2930, while USD/SEK rose 0.44% to 8.3323.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 95.53.
