Venus Protocol, in conjunction with UFF Sports and CUDOS, is launching a season-long SIM Racing league that is open to all crypto-based projects. The league and all tournaments will run similarly to real-world racing seasons.
Venus Protocol is pleased to announce that the entry fee for this upcoming tournament can be paid for in $VAI or $BUSD . The Prize money for this upcoming tournament will be awarded in $VAI. We believe this will bring more utility to our decentralized stablecoin as well as exposure to the participants involved ahead of our VAI Stability fee being launched.
Races will be broadcasted on multiple streaming platforms with professional commentating and opportunities for advertising. Projects will buy into the league, creating prize pools for the top teams. The community will design the race cars (livery) and build a community-backed team of drivers and support staff.
Racing is a global sport that is easy for anyone to understand and with today's graphics you will have a hard time determining whether you're watching a real race or a digital version.
Why would a project participate?
- Marketing is very expensive with mixed and often disappointing results, as influencers and crypto channels are full of bots and fake, inactive followers. VR-1 offers an alternative at a minimal cost with long-term exposure, as races will be happening year-round.
- VR-1 engages a project’s community as they will be participating in design contests, and/or supporting the racing team as a driver or team member.
- The race cars, race footage and engine sound are great marketing content that can be used everywhere. It’s so aesthetically pleasing and can be modified at any time.
- The audience reach is magnified by all others racing. Projects will have the opportunity to get noticed by racing next to the biggest crypto projects in the world creating a pooled marketing effort that will benefit everyone involved as our community and stream viewers grow.
- Projects can capture revenue by winning prize pools to use in further marketing or to reward their community.
- There are plans to feature races in multiple metaverses throughout the circuit, which gives the metaverse exposure but also introduces all participating projects to that metaverse community.
What are the marketing opportunities?
- As mentioned above, having a car, driver, team, and race footage is great marketing content.
- Races will be streamed live on multiple platforms creating outrageously fun competition and entertainment for the communities to watch and cheer for.
- Livery (car design) and team uniform competitions create community interaction and buzz.
- Like the design competitions, projects can choose drivers and team members from their community.
- Crypto investors are passionate about the projects they are involved in, and this type of yearlong interaction encourages loyalty.
- Advertising spots will be available throughout the broadcasts.
- Each race will have a feature project with airtime to pitch their project and/or latest developments.
What Can the Community Do?
Custom liveries will be allowed during the tournament. There are six cars to choose from so please choose your cars wisely as they each have their own driving styles and characteristics. If anyone in the Venus community would like to design the livery for the Venus car, please check the template files and instructions at https://www.uffsports.com/vr1. Submit your design and it could be chosen!
There will be 30 participants competing in the VR-1 global sim racing tournament. Venus Protocol will sponsor a driver to compete by paying the $5000 entry fee in $VAI*1. VR-1 offers a $105K*2 prize pool which will be distributed to the top 8 drivers in the championship. Winnings will be entirely awarded to the driver. The prize pool allocation is as followed:
Championship Finishing | VR1 Prize Pool*2 |
1st | $36750 |
2nd | $21000 |
3rd | $10500 |
4th | $9450 |
5th | $8400 |
6th | $7350 |
7th | $6300 |
8th | $5250 |
VR-1 racing is an incredible way to bring the crypto space together, leverage our communities, offer fair cost and effective marketing, and maybe most of all, bring some fun to a space that is still maturing and has its ups and downs.
