Investing.com – Social media has become a huge platform for traders and investors to discuss cryptocurrencies and other financial assets. According to the cryptocurrency analysis tool CoinTrendz, Bitcoin was the most mentioned cryptocurrency in the last 24 hours.

The top 10 coins mentioned on Twitter in the last 24 hours were:

It’s unsurprising to see coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum as the two most mentioned on Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) in the last 24 hours, they are, of course, the two largest coins by market cap.

Fantom and Harmony were the third and ninth most mentioned cryptocurrencies, respectively. The tokens rallied in price yesterday with both networks layer 1 blockchains, in the same way Ethereum and Solana are. The networks can support decentralised finance (DeFi) products and services.

Velas is another cryptocurrency that was in the top 10 mentioned on Twitter in the last 24 hours. The firm behind the token recently announced a partnership with Ferrari’s Formula 1 racing team. Velas also allows the building of DeFi applications and smart contracts on its main net.

Shiba Inu was also on the list of most mentioned coins. The dog-based crypto rallied on Wednesday after reports circulated on social media that the popular trading app Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) could add the coin to its platform as early as next month.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the Robinhood CFO Jason Warnick failed to confirm or deny the rumours.

“It’s not lost on us that our customers and others would like to see us add more coins,” Warnick told the WSJ when asked whether the company would be adding Shiba Inu to the platform.
