Benzinga - Glauber Contessoto, also known as SlumDOGE Millionaire, said that he now owns nearly 100,000 Cardano (CRYPTO: ADA) tokens.

What Happened: Contessoto, a Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) millionaire, recently tweeted to his followers that he is definitely buying more ADA when the price drops back down to 24 or even 20 cents.

ADA, a cryptocurrency created by the mathematician Charles Hoskinson, is already the eighth-largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

Despite Dogecoin's recent plunge in price, SlumDOGE Millionaire Contessoto remains adamant that he has never sold the cryptocurrency. The Los Angeles native has become an icon in the crypto space with his rags-to-riches narrative and the attention his story has attracted to cryptocurrencies in general.

Some of the recent enthusiasm surrounding Cardano has been attributed to its co-founder, Hoskinson.

Hoskinson’s firm, Input Output HK, is making preparations for its upcoming Lace wallet launch and Hoskinson recently announced that ADA could be used as payment at his newly opened Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic in Wyoming.

Price Action: DOGE was trading at $0.07 up 1.17% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro.
