Benzinga - Melania Trump’s Head Of State 2022 NFT collection is currently worth 2 Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), since its launch in January.

What Happened: On-chain data shows that the value of Melania’s NFT collection has plummeted by over 100% since it was first launched at 382 SOL each at the beginning of this year.

At the time of writing, SOL was trading at $12.37, up 0.76% in the last 24 hours.

If you had invested in the collection at the time of launch, your initial investment of $35,678 would now be worth less than $25. In January, SOL was trading at $93, as per CoinMarketCap. This translates to a massive loss.

It was also reported that Melania sold an NFT to herself for $170,000.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump launched his NFT collection which became a much-discussed topic on late-night television shows. The collection is made up of 45,000 individual collectibles and was sold out for $4.45 million within a day of launching. Originally priced at $99-apiece, individual NFTs have since fetched considerably higher prices due to the incredible demand.
