Investing.com - Gold futures were lower during the European session on Thursday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1305.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.05%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1301.50 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1278.30 and resistance at USD1309.10.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.25% to trade at USD80.32.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.33% to trade at USD19.710 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery rose 0.11% to trade at USD3.156 a pound.
