Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 0.13% or 0.06 points to trade at 46.38 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) fell 0.16% or 0.07 points to end at 43.40 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 0.28% or 0.15 points to 52.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 7.25% or 2.53 points to trade at 32.36 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 6.37% or 1.97 points to end at 28.95 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 5.72% or 1.61 points to 26.52.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 41 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.23% or 1.10 to $48.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.37% or 1.11 to hit $45.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.71 to trade at $1252.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.25% to 1.1661, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8989.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.84.
