Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 2.55% or 0.84 points to trade at 33.84 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) added 1.21% or 0.46 points to end at 38.59 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.06% or 0.34 points to 32.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.85% or 0.134 points to trade at 3.344 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 3.02% or 0.18 points to end at 5.78 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.57% or 0.0940 points to 3.5680.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.08% or 1.46 to $45.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.59% or 1.19 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.23% or 3.00 to trade at $1293.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.7852.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 92.70.
