Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.43% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.94% or 35.0 points to trade at 1840.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.79% or 100.0 points to end at 12700.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 0.30% or 5.0 points to 1655.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 7.46% or 230.0 points to trade at 2855.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 2.13% or 100.0 points to end at 4600.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 2.01% or 340.0 points to 16540.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 8 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.64% or 0.80 to $124.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.03% or 1.00 to hit $3123.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.16% or 1.90 to trade at $1188.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.22% to 2546.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.81% to 805.93.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 97.14.
