Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.27% or 0.2 points to trade at 16.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 0.34% or 200.0 points to end at 59000.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.11% or 20.0 points to 17600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 4.51% or 310.0 points to trade at 6560.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 3.83% or 370.0 points to end at 9290.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 3.72% or 580.0 points to 15020.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 3 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.39% or 1.62 to $115.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.29% or 9.50 to hit $3300.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.74% or 8.40 to trade at $1124.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.11% to 3071.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.36% to 757.26.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 96.48.
