Investing.com - Natural gas futures were lower in U.S. trade on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for September delivery traded at USD2.776 per million British thermal units at time of writing falling 3.09%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD2.764 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.735 and resistance at USD2.879.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.41% to trade at USD97.62.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for September delivery fell 0.44% to trade at USD48.58 a barrel while Heating oil for August delivery rose 0.86% to trade at USD1.6121 per gallon.
