On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for August delivery traded at USD2.821 per million British thermal units at time of writing falling 1.69%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD2.785 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.776 and resistance at USD2.980.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.04% to trade at USD98.13.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for September delivery fell 1.60% to trade at USD50.39 a barrel while Heating oil for August delivery fell 0.47% to trade at USD1.6563 per gallon.
