On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for September delivery traded at USD2.816 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 0.99%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD2.846 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.735 and resistance at USD2.957.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.15% to trade at USD96.77.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for September delivery rose 1.39% to trade at USD48.05 a barrel while Heating oil for August delivery rose 1.31% to trade at USD1.6164 per gallon.
