On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for April delivery traded at USD2.717 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 1.47%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD2.740 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.668 and resistance at USD2.870.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.85% to trade at USD98.46.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for April delivery fell 2.98% to trade at USD48.51 a barrel while Heating oil for April delivery fell 1.61% to trade at USD1.8102 per gallon.
