On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for August delivery traded at USD2.874 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 0.70%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD2.888 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.733 and resistance at USD2.982.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.07% to trade at USD97.69.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for August delivery rose 0.02% to trade at USD50.90 a barrel while Heating oil for August delivery rose 0.43% to trade at USD1.6734 per gallon.
