On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1271.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 1.04%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1269.80 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1269.80 and resistance at USD1301.20.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.08% to trade at USD79.88.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 1.93% to trade at USD19.063 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 1.20% to trade at USD3.096 a pound.
