Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in European trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD53.02 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.46%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD52.93 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD52.44 and resistance at USD55.74.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.47% to trade at USD91.07.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for February delivery fell 0.85% to trade at USD56.84 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.82 a barrel.
