Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Property and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 9.03% or 0.440 points to trade at 5.310 at the close. Metropolitan B (PS:MBT) added 4.94% or 4.00 points to end at 85.00 and Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) was up 4.88% or 1.000 points to 21.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Telecom (PS:GLO), which lost 1.02% or 24.000 points to trade at 2330.000 in late trade. Energy Develop (PS:EDC) declined 0.85% or 0.050 points to end at 5.840 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) shed 0.64% or 0.080 points to 12.340.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 66 and 11 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.30 to $1135.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.16% or 0.53 to hit $46.07 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.27% or 0.61 to trade at $48.74 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.61% to 7.3150, while USD/PHP fell 0.61% to 46.495.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.73.
