Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.94% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 1.16% or 140.0 points to trade at 12200.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.63% or 80.0 points to end at 12680.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.11% or 10.0 points to 9020.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 3.97% or 75.0 points to trade at 1815.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 4.41% or 270.0 points to end at 5850.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 3.81% or 1000.0 points to 25240.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 5 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.04% or 0.05 to $124.17 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.87% or 27.50 to hit $3122.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1188.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.31% to 2539.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.00% to 807.57.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.34.
