Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN), which rose 4.51% or 1.74 points to trade at 40.33 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 4.03% or 9.8 points to end at 252.9 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 3.47% or 3.6 points to 107.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which lost 0.92% or 2.6 points to trade at 279.4 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.85% or 1.6 points to end at 186.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 0.82% or 0.17 points to 20.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 365 to 210 and 11 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.41% or 0.14 to $33.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.29% or 0.45 to hit $35.25 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1116.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.22% to 9.2860, while USD/SEK rose 0.88% to 8.5809.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.16% at 99.77.
